Cat Make Up

Just when I thought things wouldn’t get any crazier, along comes this! We all appreciate that cats are the animal kingdom’s most graceful and beautiful creatures. I’ve got a great new idea for dressing up our cats. Well it’s not entirely my idea. In fact I saw a Google video on the ultimate cat make up and I just fell in love with the idea even though it’s a bit off the wall! But, it suits my personality, I guess, after all I’m the one who always dresses up as a cat at costume parties.

Cat Make Up Kits

Before I tell you a bit more about the latest craze to hit my household, I must admit that I was a bit unsure about how to tackle this article. It could just cover how to make up your cat, or how you can use cat make up to turn yourself into a cat. So, I decided to do both.

You can find numerous cat make up sites in the web, and you will find some wild choices. Some have sexy cat looks and others are a little more risqué than you might be ready for! I’ll leave that up to you! In any case you will be spoiled for choice and most importantly, you’ll be inspired by other cat look fanciers and be certain to get just what you want. I have started with a look at the zebra cat as you can see at the bottom of this post.
I have loaded a few more here and will be uploading more over the next few weeks. Make sure you take a look every now and then. If you want me to let you know when there are more, leave a comment and email address and I’ll keep you up to date. Otherwise subscribe to the RSS feed of your choice.

You will also find the pricing of the various kits to vary in price quite a bit, but usually with a little of your own imagination you can buy something basic and add the little extras yourself at a small premium. The best thing is the set of instructions which I found really helpful.

Cat costumes are also readily available.

I Want to do my Own Thing!

Go right ahead! You’ll find enough inspiration to go on with just by looking at the images I am loading up and mentioned before.

Just make sure you use the correct foundation so that it is easy to remove before you go to bed. Of course there are some that won’t care about this and may want to keep the cat act going all night after the costume party! I won’t talk about it here, but one of my girlfriends did just that and spent the next few days scouring the net for cleaning tips. She wasn’t going to ask her mother about that one! Here’s a checklist of some items however:
• Highlighter usually white
• Eyeliner
• False eyelashes or mascara
• Lipstick in your special color and
• Lip liner.

You may also want some latex to create a nose and a fine bristle brush for painting whiskers.

Always take your time applying the makeup. Get the image in your mind first after having sketched some images beforehand with crayons or colored pencils. I have come up with some great creations that way and I can’t draw to save myself. Don’t be afraid of using some wild colors either, there is nothing better or more attractive than a wild cat is there?

Here are the pics! Enjoy.
